The Village of Mundelein has commenced its annual mandatory landlord registration period for the year 2024, a process that landlords are given roughly two months to complete.

According to a Village of Mundelein news release, renewals for the Landlord Registration/Residential Registration can be carried out on the village's website. Applicants can log in to their accounts and fill out the online application which includes information pertaining to the Crime Free Housing certification, along with paying the requisite annual fee.

As per another news release by the Village of Mundelein, registrations are accepted solely via this online portal. Payment options include credit cards and e-checks. Additionally, landlords have the option to make fee payments in person at the Village Hall, but only through cash or check.

Upon completion and review of applications by village staff, successful applicants will receive their 2024 Landlord Registration through the same online portal. These registrations carry an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2024. According to another Village of Mundelein news release, landlords can avoid late fees by ensuring they submit their applications and fees no later than Jan. 31, 2024.

For any queries or concerns regarding this process, landlords can reach out to Customer Service at 847-949-3283 according to a final press release from the Village of Mundelein.
