The Park District has announced its emergency closing policy, emphasizing its commitment to keeping facilities and programs operational whenever possible. However, it acknowledges that certain circumstances such as weather, road conditions, or facility malfunctions may necessitate the cancellation or temporary postponement of programs and services or even the closure of entire facilities.
In order to ensure a safe environment for both employees and patrons, the Park District reserves the right to close a facility or cancel a program based on specific criteria.
