The Emerson 7th Grade Student Government Association (SGA) recently completed a school-wide service project, collecting nearly 500 lunches for Uncle Pete’s Lunches, a program that provides meals to those in need across the Chicagoland area.

The SGA prepared and packed 100 lunches the day before the main collection. On the morning of February 7th, they gathered an additional 390 lunches as students arrived at school. This effort marked another year in their decade- long tradition of service projects.

"We wanted to celebrate the great work the Emerson 7th Grade Student Government Association (SGA) did with its school-wide service project earlier this month," said a representative from the school.

The project culminated in a total of 490 lunches collected for Uncle Pete’s, adding to their ongoing commitment to community service.
