Lake Forest Schools recently announced that students from Lake Forest High School (LFHS) attended a performance of "I and You" at Citadel Theatre. The event brought together peers from across the North Shore to engage with the play's themes, as said in a press release.
"I and You," written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Scott Shallenbarger, explores themes of youth, life, love, and human connection. It tells an unexpected love story with a surprising twist at the end, showcasing Gunderson's acclaimed storytelling. This follows her success with "Silent Sky," according to Citadel Theatre.
Citadel Theatre is located in Lake Forest, Illinois, and produces a variety of works including dramas, comedies, and classical and contemporary plays. The theatre aims to create high-quality productions through collaboration with professionals from various theatrical disciplines. Its mission is to offer audiences powerful performances that explore the complexities of the human experience. In addition to its productions, Citadel Theatre provides educational programs for children focusing on skills such as improvisation, voice development, and teamwork taught by experienced theatre professionals.
