As Spring Break approaches, the superintendent of Winfield 34 took a moment to recognize the recent efforts and accomplishments of various student teams and groups.
"Our Science Olympiad team, Girls' Basketball team, and the cast and crew of the school play have all made us incredibly proud," said the superintendent.
The Boys' Volleyball team was also commended for its strong start with promising prospects in their conference. "From medals to championships to powerful performances on stage, these achievements reflect the dedication and talent of our students—and the support and commitment of the adults guiding them," he added.
He emphasized the importance of rest during this busy part of the school year. "Whether your family is heading out of town or enjoying a staycation, I hope everyone takes time to breathe. We all need it. "
He acknowledged that students are juggling multiple responsibilities beyond school such as sports, clubs, religious education, and other activities. He also reminded everyone that teachers balance significant responsibilities as well.
"While deeply committed to the students and families of Winfield 34, our staff members also have responsibilities to their own families," he said.
In addition, he expressed gratitude towards PTO and Winfield Education Foundation (WEF) for their continuous support. "The big things as well as little things they do matter such as the recent 'chips and dips' treat," he noted.
