Lake Forest Schools have announced a book talk scheduled for April 3, featuring Dr. Doug Bolton and Superintendent Dr. Matthew Montgomery. The discussion will focus on the book "Untethered" as part of Dr. Jenny Sterpin’s Belonging Series, according to a press release.
On April 3, Lake Forest Schools will host Dr. Doug Bolton, a clinical psychologist and author of "Untethered: Creating Connected Families, Schools, and Communities to Raise a Resilient Generation," for the second event in Dr. Jenny Sterpin’s Belonging Series. Bolton will be joined by Superintendent Dr. Matthew Montgomery to discuss strategies for helping young people develop resilience and adaptability. The event is set to take place at 6:30 p.m. at Raymond Moore Auditorium, Lake Forest High School East Campus. Copies of "Untethered" are available for purchase.
According to Penguin Random House, Bolton began his career in therapeutic schools as a school psychologist before serving as the principal of North Shore Academy, a K-12 therapeutic school in Chicago, for 14 years. He now runs a private practice and consults with schools to help leaders improve their ability to support students with mental health issues through workshops, keynote addresses, and individual consultations.
