First graders at North School continued the tradition of “Wild Rumpus” on March 19, welcoming seventh-grade buddies from Jefferson Middle School for a morning of creativity and connection.
In preparation for the event, North first graders painted “Wild Thing” characters, and their artwork was shared with seventh graders at Jefferson, who then created plush versions of the designs. When the students met in person, they exchanged their creations and participated in activities. Volunteers helped provide snacks for the gathering.
Many Jefferson students who participated also attended the event six years ago as first graders. Special thanks to many parent volunteers and art teachers, Dave Johnson and Laura Allan, for leading this fun event.
