On Friday, Mrs. Gomez and her students at Elmwood Elementary, along with invited family members, participated in an educational adventure. As part of "The Traveling Tourists" project, participants explored significant United States monuments and iconic travel destinations that symbolize the nation's history, culture, and values.

Throughout the journey, students enhanced their geographical knowledge by collecting passport stamps at each stop. They reinforced their learning by creating interactive flip-flap books and practiced critical thinking and writing skills by composing opinion essays about their favorite destination.

This hands-on event provided a meaningful opportunity to integrate social studies, literacy, and creativity in a memorable way.
