On May 21, Jackson Middle School held a promotion ceremony for its eighth-grade students at Willowbrook High School. The event marked the transition of 228 students to high school.
During the ceremony, eighth grader Tessa Burritt addressed her classmates. She said: “Congratulations, we did it! It’s time to leave the middle school building behind, but we should take with us the joys and lessons we’ve all shared. Together, we are an astonishing class of students, ready to step into freshman year and grow up to be amazing people.”
