Lake Forest Community High School District 115 has expressed gratitude to the Scouts who participated in the Lake Forest Day Parade and appreciation for the community's support.
The 117th Lake Forest Day, organized by American Legion McKinlock Post No. 264, took place on August 5–6, 2025, in Lake Forest, Illinois. The event featured a carnival at West Park on Tuesday evening and continued throughout Wednesday. A 5K and Fun Run commenced at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by a parade at 10 a.m. The parade route began at Western and Vine Avenues, proceeding north to West Park. Western Avenue was closed from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. The theme for this year's event was "Shop, Dine, Enjoy Lake Forest Every Day," as said on the Lake Forest Day website.
According to the website, the parade included up to 80 entries comprising local groups, school and church organizations, neighborhood floats, and high school marching bands. Participation was free of charge with applications accepted until July 23 for award consideration in categories such as children, civic, and commercial groups. Details regarding staging and routes were disseminated by August 4. Safety regulations mandated continuous movement during the parade, prohibited item throwing, and specified drop-off zones. Volunteers supported the event's operations while proceeds from the carnival and raffle were directed towards benefiting local veterans and youth programs.
