Aiyana Mcaulay, a student from Grayslake, Illinois, studying Music at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, will perform with the university's Symphonic Wind Ensemble during the 2025-26 academic year. Mcaulay is part of the Bass Clarinet section in the ensemble, which consists of 45 student musicians.

The group is scheduled to perform at UW-Whitewater's Gala Concert on December 6 at The Young Performing Arts Center. This annual event features nearly every student ensemble in the Department of Music and raises funds for department scholarships.

The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is a select wind band that performs various concert band pieces. Membership requires an audition. In March, the ensemble performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. It is noted as the first and only university band to have played at this venue more than once, with previous performances in 2013 and 2020.

UW-Whitewater's Department of Music operates within the College of Arts and Communication and prepares students for careers in performance, composing, teaching, and other music-related fields. The university’s ensembles have performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Symphony Center in Chicago, and locations in Germany, Poland, and England.
