The Village announced on March 9 that it is seeking community input to help develop a master plan for Riverside Park, located at 700 Riverside Drive. Residents are encouraged to participate in a survey and attend an on-site event to share their ideas for the park’s future design and potential grant applications.

The effort aims to gather suggestions from the public to guide improvements and amenities at Riverside Park. Community feedback will play a key role in shaping the direction of the master plan, which could influence future funding opportunities.

Residents can take part by completing an online survey, which is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ZD6FXHM. The Village also invites people to visit the playground area between 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, where they can provide input in person about desired amenities for the park.

The Village said it values participation from all members of the community and encourages residents to share the survey with friends, family, and neighbors. “We NEED your ideas,” officials said in their announcement.

This initiative reflects ongoing efforts by local governments to involve residents in planning public spaces. The results of this outreach will inform both immediate improvements and long-term strategies for Riverside Park.

Community members interested in having a say in the park’s development are urged to participate either online or during the scheduled on-site session.
