Washington Bears, featuring former Lake Zurich High School standout Molly Friesen, defeated the Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops 73-68 in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 7.
The matchup, which tipped off at 7:15 p.m. at Branch Rickey Arena, marked the team’s first meeting against Ohio Wesleyan Battling Bishops in the tournament.
Washington Bears are set to play their next tournament game on Friday, March 13, at 8 p.m. at Kolf Sports Center.
