The Village of Wauconda has partnered with Citizenserve to introduce a new online system for registering boats, non-highway vehicles, and shanties. This initiative aims to streamline the information collection process, facilitate annual renewals without repetitive data entry, and enhance the efficiency of inspections.

Residents can access the portal through the “Quick Links” section on the Village website: https://www.wauconda-il.gov/. Upon becoming a user in the portal, the system will prompt users to enter data about their boat, non- highway vehicle, or shanty. It also allows for online fee payments and inspection scheduling.

As this is a new system, all users must select “New” application even if they have previously registered their boat. Inspections for boats or non-highway vehicles cannot be scheduled without a valid application in the new system and full payment of fees. Major credit and debit cards are accepted as forms of payment.

For those without access to the portal or with additional questions, the records department at the Police Station can be contacted at (847) 526-2421 for further information.

The Village encourages residents to register soon to maximize their time on Bangs Lake and visiting Downtown Wauconda.
