The Westminster Public Schools community gathered at Westminster High School for the 2025 District Showcase, an event that brought together families, students, and staff. The evening featured costumes, candy, live music performances, and highlighted student creativity.
Attendees had opportunities to learn about school improvement plans and meet with teachers and staff. Students from across the district demonstrated their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
A new addition this year was a costume contest with categories such as Most Original, Scariest, and Best Homemade costumes. A toddler dressed as a paletero attracted particular attention with his detailed outfit that included a miniature shopping cart filled with snacks and a sign reading “No Cash… No Paleta.” His look was completed by a red bandana, straw hat, and fake mustache.
The event also allowed younger students to explore Westminster High School’s offerings in athletics, clubs, and career technical pathways. One child asked his mother how soon he could attend the school after being impressed by what he saw.
Superintendent Jeni Gotto attended the showcase. She stated that “the much-anticipated annual tradition perfectly captures the spirit of WPS.”
Photographers from What’s up WPS documented the night’s activities. An online photo album is available for attendees to view pictures of themselves or their schools’ presentations.
