Family Fishing Day
Grab the family and cast some lines, and hopefully catch some fish! The event will take place on Tuesday, June 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Independence Grove, 16400 W. Buckley Road in Libertyville. Helpful tips will be given by Forest Preserves staff, including recommended reels, lure colors, best times of day to fish and more. The cost is $2 per person.

Restoration Workday
Put on your boots, grab some work gloves and help restore the environment during the Restoration Workday on Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to noon at Rollins Savanna, 20160 W. Washington St. in Grayslake. No experience is necessary and the event is free to attend. Children 10 years and older are welcome with an adult.
