Candidates are now able to assemble their packets for the March 2024 primary election.
“Candidate packets for the March 2024 primary are now available,” Vernon Township Republicans said on Facebook.
Offices filing with the State Board of Elections for the March 2024 Primary include Representative in Congress, State Senate, State Representative, Supreme Court Justice, Appellate Court Justice, Circuit Court (excluding Cook) Judge, Cook Circuit Judge, Subcircuit Judge, Resident Circuit Court Judge, Prairie DuPont, Multi-county Regional Superintendent of Schools (vacancy).
The Illinois Republican County Chairman's Association and Illinois Republican Party have been hosting candidate trainings across the state.
The next trainings are on the Republican County Chairman's Association website and include Will County on Aug. 12, Edwardsville on Aug. 19, Springfield on Sept. 16, Rock Island on Sept. 23 and Sycamore on Oct. 7.
In Lake County the Leadership Institute's Campaign Academy is offering an intensive two-day workshop on September 29 and 30, 2023, designed to equip aspiring politicians and volunteers in the Lake County area with essential skills for success in the competitive political environment.
The program, which covers strategy, communications, voter engagement, and fundraising, aims to empower individuals committed to making a positive impact through effective political leadership.
The workshop will be held at the Avon Township Center in Round Lake Park. Interested participants are encouraged to sign up to secure their spot in this transformative program.
