The Highland Park Committee of the Whole reviewed results Monday from a survey seeking public input on the future of the Highland Park Theater.
Survey participants were asked to rate the seven proposals the city is considering, two of which include demolition. Out of the 353 responses received, 61 percent gave the proposed Dayan Market Theater a favorable rating. The indoor market would be a two-story, year-round venue for local artisan foods and produce, similar to those found in larger cities around the country.
Coming in second with 36 percent of the vote was Geraci and Katz's eight-story theater, boutique hotel and condo complex.
The city will continue to discuss the survey results and the proposals over the next month and will provide updates at committee meetings.
