The village of Deerfield's board of trustees will meet Monday, Dec. 7.
During its consent agenda, the board will discuss the approval of a special use permit for a new fire department roof. It will also weigh taking procedural steps to allow renovations at Deerbrook Shopping Center and the Jewel Osco Grocery Store and consider permitting a drive-through pharmacy.
The board will then vote to authorize the 2016 village tax levy and approve the new Lake County Watershed Development Ordinance, which is required of local government in order to continue receiving coverage under the National Flood Insurance Program. The federal program provides comprehensive disaster insurance in exchange for municipalities taking particular preventative measures.
The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
