Storm water management, a green film series and sustainability will top the agenda list 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Park’s Natural Resources Commission at City Hall, 1707 St. Johns Ave. in Highland Park.
Call to order will be followed directly by roll call and the approval of minutes from both Dec. 9, 2015, and Jan. 13 meetings.
Time will be allotted for business from the public, after which old and new business will be reviewed.
In new business, the commission will discuss an environmental film series sponsored by NRC and devise a publicity strategy for its 2016 and 2017 film series. A screening of “Terra Blight” was presented on Jan. 24, and feedback will be solicited.
The commission will then evaluate two PDHP workshops: the previous Ravine workshop held Jan. 28 and the upcoming Sustainability Workshop scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 11 at the Heller Nature Center.
Next, the commission will hear an update on a Feb. 1 staff meeting with Sustainability Consultant Quercus and confer about resulting campaigns related to composting, storm water and light pollution.
In other business, the commissioner will offer comments, and administrative items will be reviewed prior to adjournment.
