Lake County invites public input for housing, community development

House in hands

To help Lake County’s Housing and Community Development Commission make informed housing and development decisions, citizens are encouraged to submit comments and suggestions via mail, e-mail or online.

The commission is soliciting feedback for the county’s Annual Action Plan to help facilitate the county's allocations of federal funds for the jurisdiction’s housing and community development needs, goals, outcomes and strategies. Lake County is also cooperating with Waukegan and North Chicago governments.

With the official public comment period lasting from Feb. 1 to March 3, feedback can be given either in writing or electronically. Comments about the Annual Action Plan and on any particular projects recommended for funding will be accepted until 5 p.m. on the final date.

Written comments may be mailed to Lake County Community Development, 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville, Ill., 60048. Alternatively, voters can also offer their thoughts on the plan by sending an e-mail or by mailing Lake County Community Development at 500 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville, Ill., 60048.
