Front facades, canopy covers and parking lot patching projects occupied the attention of the Libertyville Appearance Review Commission (ARC) at its 7 p.m. Jan. 18 meeting in Libertyville Village Hall.

With a quorum present, the ARC approved plans for half a dozen Libertyville projects.

The first, presented by Tedd Meredith of Campbell Construction, regarded new building facades for Culver’s restaurant, co-owned by Tony Milazzo and located at 803 E. Park Ave. Meredith described colors and textures, noting that the ARC had approved signage at a previous meeting.

Representing business owner Brad DeJong, Laurie Tansey of L Studio proposed plans for a new awning for 443 E. Park Ave.

Also in new business, Roch Tranel of Tranel Financial Group presented new building facades for property at 1509 N. Milwaukee Ave. Tranel revealed that the existing canopy structure will be removed, the area will be patched with asphalt and additional parking spaces will be created.

Gabriel Hocking of Linden Group presented new building façades for Napleton Ford, clarifying rendering details, height measurements and front entry tower options. The building will be painted to match the new front façade.

Kenneth Sossong, authorized agent for BECO-Libertyville at 600 N. U.S. Highway 45, offered new signage and landscaping for Innovation Park. Monument signs are proposed for three site entrances plus two additional locations on the property, with directional signs suggested. Sossong portrayed the lettering details, illumination plan and landscaping surrounding the signs.

Paul Swanson, authorized agent for Ann Danner of 1801 Torrey Parkway, requested approval for new building facades, landscaping and lighting for three 4-unit townhome buildings to be developed at Victoria Park. Swanson offered thorough landscaping, lighting, materials and color information.
