To appraise major remodeling plans for two separate residential Lake Forest properties, the city’s Building Review Board will meet 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in City Hall Council Chambers.
Owners Eric and Nancy Meier submitted a request for the city to approve partial demolition of their home at 810 Green Briar Lane and plan for an addition, alterations, overall site plan and landscape plan. Architect Michael Breseman of Prairie Grove represents the couple. No variances were requested with this petition.
Peter and Jamie Childs proposed a setback variance for their 682 Oakwood Ave. residence, which also involves demolition and reconstruction. They are represented by Chicago Architect Laszlo Simovic. The Childs would like the board’s approval for a replacement residence plus overall site and landscape plans. Additionally, repair and restoration of the existing garage is proposed.
Chairman Ted Notz will introduce board members Jim Diamond, Ross Friedman, Robert Reda, Bruce Grieve, Michael Bleck and Fred Moyer along with staff, and there will be a customary overview of meeting procedures, approval of previous minutes and an opportunity for the public to address the board on non-agenda items. The meeting will adjourn by 11:00 p.m. at the latest; meetings are broadcast live on local cable television.
