With water issues at the forefront, Deerfield’s village board will meet 7:30 p.m. Monday to award, approve and authorize a variety of requests from village constituents at Deerfield Village Hall, 850 Waukegan Road.
New business includes two water-related items: authorization to award a two-year contract for EPA-required groundwater sampling services for Reservoir 29A and an ordinance amending the municipal code regarding water conservation.
The Starbucks liquor license remains on the agenda as the establishment awaits an ordinance to create a new Class C liquor license for its 675 Deerfield Road store. The liquor license would allow Starbucks to serve only beer and wine.
Previous ordinances on the table that have been grouped into a consent agenda for efficient processing are the special use amendment for the Briarwood Country Club’s paddle tennis facility, a final plat for a subdivision involving 225 and 243 Wilmot Road from JK Wilmot LLC and an ordinance to create a liquor license category called “Class N” for Venue One LLC.
Remaining business will entail a report and recommendation of the plan commission regarding approval of Deerfield’s 2016 zoning ordinance.
