Highland Park’s Business and Economic Development Commission will hold a special meeting at 7:45 a.m. Friday to discuss a student career program as well as business district matters.
Branding and a business summit will start the conversation in business development, followed by status reports by local stakeholders from five different business districts; the Chamber of Commerce; SCORE; Highland Park Hospital; Ravinia Festival; two school districts; and the city’s public library, park district and art center.
Business district representatives will be in attendance from Briergate, Central and Ravinia Business Districts for streetscape projects along with Crossroads Business District and North Skokie Business District.
School jurisdictions include North Shore School District 112 and Township Highland School District 113, with the latter planning to present on a student career exploration program.
Additional business will include the approval of meeting minutes from Jan. 19 and other items introduced for discussion prior to adjournment.
