Highland Park leaders recently chose to give the general public access to the online permit sites for the city, offering businesses as well as residents further information that is now easily accessible.
The website includes a new feature that will help the public to see the permits for the city.
The city’s leaders have created a spreadsheet that lists public hearings involving the commissions and boards at Highland Park. The list is available as a PDF file.
The projects included on the spreadsheet are part of the City Council, Zoning Board of Appeals, Plan and Design Commission and Historic Preservation Commission.
This spreadsheet will help people track a variety of cases and their statuses, such as actions taken, meeting dates and meeting packs, via hyperlinks.
The staff has plans to continue updating this spreadsheet on a weekly basis. This will help the public stay up to date with the city’s latest public hearings, applications and results.
“The city is regularly seeking opportunities to enhance communication with the public,” Ghida Neukirch, Highland Park City manager, said. “The newest enhancements provide users with an opportunity to obtain information about proposed, pending and complete development projects with the easy click of a mouse.”
