Dealing with a dining establishment lacking a drive-thru, Lake Bluff’s Joint Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals (PCZBA) debated design and other solutions at its 7 p.m. Wednesday meeting at Village Hall.
Lake Effect Holdings LLC is seeking a special use permit to allow the operation of an eatery without a drive-thru facility on its premises, which is located at 600 Walnut Ave.
In a separate matter, Edward Fiorentino and the village of Lake Bluff jointly filed a petition to allow pool houses that are used in conjunction with swimming pools -- but that are not used as dwellings per se -- to be outfitted with heat, light and shower facilities.
Third, Lake Bluff Golf Course requested permission to install a smaller tent structure on its clubhouse’s south lawn at 355 W. Washington Ave., specifically in the form of an amendment to an existing special use permit.
All three requests were considered as part of the public hearing. A regular PCZBA meeting was confirmed for April 20.
The joint commission heard the commissioner’s report and staff reports, and general discussion covered overall district zoning matters prior to adjournment.
Village Hall is located at 40 E. Center Ave., with meetings held in the boardroom.
