The Highwood Police Pension Fund Board discussed the progress in preparing the annual statement, actuarial study and audit for the Illinois Department of Insurance.
The board also discussed trustee election results and received updates on training for state and national pension legal issues.
The board also considered whether to write a letter to state legislators on SB 3317, a bill that would amend the Illinois Pension Code. The legislation would shift police and firefighter fund jurisdiction and beef up efforts to ensure compliance with investment-asset transfer laws.
