The Highwood City Council will appoint several Planning and Zoning Commission members at its 7:30 p.m. meeting today in City Council Chambers.
The council also will consider appearance-variance requests by the Silk Thumb, 6 Walker Ave., and Classic Tile, 790 and 794 Sheridan Road.
The council also will consider a motion to waive the normal bidding process and authorize the city manager to install two water valves on Lakeview Avenue and Clay Avenue for an amount not to exceed $21,000.
