Village of Grayslake Village Board met April 4.

Public Comment – Agenda Items: The Board will accept public comment on items included on the meeting agenda

1. Approval: Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 7, 2017, Minutes of the Special Meeting of March 18, 2017 and Minutes of the Executive Session of March 18, 2017

The Board will consider approval of minutes for the March 7, 2017 regular Board meeting., minutes for the March 18, 2017 special meeting, and minutes for the March 18, 2017 Executive Session.

2. Approval: Treasurer’s Reports / Payment of Bills: March 21, 2017 and April 4, 2017 

The Board will consider approval of the regular treasurer’s reports detailing revenues and expenses for the reporting periods ending on March 21, 2017 and April 4, 2017.

3. Resolution 868: Motor Fuel Tax Maintenance Resolution

The Board will consider approval of Resolution 868 which itemizes how the Village intends to use Motor Fuel Tax dollar over the next two years that it receives from the State of Illinois. Passage of this resolution is required by the state.

4. Fee Waiver Request: Grace Community Bible Church

The Board will consider a fee waiver request from Grace Community Bible Church in the amount of $36.45 for a temporary banner permit fee.

5. Appointment: Police Pension Board

The Board will consider Mayor Taylor’s recommendation for the re-appointment of Thomas Morris to the Police Pension Board.

6. Ordinance 2017-0-11: Disposal of Surplus Property

The Board will consider approval of Ordinance 2017-0-11, authorizing the sale of various surplus property items owned by the Village of Grayslake.

7. Approval: Grayslake Farmers Market Services Agreement

The Board will consider approval of a new two year agreement with the Grayslake Farmers Market for promotional services associated with the market. The annual cost for these services is $10,000.

8. Authorization to Execute: Bike Path and Parking Lot Maintenance

The Board will consider rejecting the bid of the lowest bidder as non-responsive to the bid criteria and acceptance of the lowest responsible bid from SKC Construction in the amount of $17,200 for bike path and parking lot maintenance.

9. Authorization to Execute: Senior Center Agreement

The Board will consider approval of an agreement with Catholic Charities for the provision of programs and services at the Grayslake Senior Center located at 50 Library Lane. Catholic Charities has provided these services to the Village since the opening of the Grayslake Senior Center in 2002. The cost for these services is $115,260.

10. Ordinance 2017-0-12: Updated Building Fee Schedule Ordinance

The Board will consider approval of Ordinance 2017-0-12, which updates the adds language to the building fee schedule providing for a plan review escrow for new construction as per the Village’s contract with its building services contractor and renaming the plan review/administration.

Public Comment: The Board will accept public comment on items of general interest.
