Unpaid fine for Benton-based campaign committee totaled $405 in January 2017

One campaign committee in Benton has an overdue fine of $405, records obtained by the Lake County Gazette show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that Franklin County Republican Central Committee was the only campaign committee in Benton that was delinquent in payment for January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

The fine that Franklin County Republican Central Committee has yet to pay was imposed on Dec. 20, 2016, for a late A-1 report.
