Lake Villa Township Board met September 11.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

I. Call to order: Meeting was called to order by Supervisor Venturi at 7:01pm

II. Roll call: In Attendance, Supervisor Venturi, Trustee Beadle, Trustee Berker, Trustee Stout, Clerk Jean Smuda, Assessor Lee.

III. Pledge of Allegiance: Led by Supervisor Venturi

IV. Approval of Minutes: Motion of approve minutes of the regular board meeting of

Aug 14, 2017 by Trustee Beadle, seconded by Trustee McCullom. Roll Call, all ayes, motion passes.

V. Old Business

a. Peacock Camp: Summer Camp has ended for the season with a gross revenue of $115K, $28K net. The summer camp was a huge success.

b. Summer Concert in the park: Concerts have concluded, our rain date concert took place late Aug, we needed more lights with the sun setting before the concert ended.

c. Discussion and possible action to regarding Intergovernmental agreement for the Lake Villa, Antioch Joint Township Center: No action taken.

VI. New Business

a. Discussion and possible action to paving bids on upper parking lot at 37908 N. Fairfield Rd. Lake Villa: Motion to approve the contractor bid from superior Paving, Inc. for the Caboose Park North parking lot paving project as presented by Trustee McCullom, Seconded by Trustee Berker. Roll Call, All ayes, motion passes.

VII. Approve Payment of Bills

a. Approve payment of current Town and Road district bills: Motion to approve the payment of current Town and Road district bills by Trustee Berker, seconded by Trustee Stout. Roll Call, all ayes, motion passes.

b. Approve payroll payments from last meeting: Motion to approve the payroll payments from last meeting by Trustee Stout, seconded by Trustee McCullom. Roll Call, all ayes, motion passes.

VIII. Public Comment: No public in attendance.

IX. Assessors Report: Assessor Lee reported the hearing are coming to an end, we are doing well by not losing assess values. Assessor Lee discussed the Walmart appeal hearing which is at the County board level. Also discussed the CVS appeal.

X. Road Commissioners: None

XI. Supervisors Report: Supervisor Venturi reported the duck blind on 4th Lake has been red tagged, it is located on Township property and will be removed if not taken down the blind owner. Trustee McCollum reported the Village of Lake will be holding a “Pet Palooza” at the mansion on Sunday.

a. Next meeting Monday Oct 9, 2017 7:00 pm

XIII. Closed Session: None

XIV. Adjournment: Motion to adjourn regular board meeting by Trustee Berker, seconded by Trustee McCullom. Meeting adjourned at 7:28 pm.
