City of Waukegan IPublic Safety Committee met December 04. 

Here is the agenda as provided by the committee:

     A. Call to Order (Meeting called to order 5:25pm) Fire Chief George Bridges could not attend meeting due to structure fire at Jackson & Glen Flora.

     A. Motion to approve the minutes of the Public Safety Committee Meeting held on November 6, 2017

4. New Business

     A. Motion to authorize the proper City Officials to waive the bid process and accept the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative Contract for the purchase of six (6) 2018 Ford Interceptors with a total price not to exceed $171,882.00. Payment for the vehicles will be made from line item 100 607526493.

     B. Motion to authorize the proper City Officials to draft an ordinance to restrict left turns from 3106 Belvidere Road, eastbound onto Belvidere Road between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on school days, Monday through Friday.

     C. Motion to authorize the proper City Officials to draft an ordinance for a handicapped parking request at 1216 Judge Ave.

     D. Motion to authorize the proper City Officials to amend and adopt the Waukegan city ordinance, Section 21-221 "Regulating size and weight of vehicles; permit; fee," to reflect the attached changes.

     E. Motion to authorize the proper City Officials to enter into a contract with Axon Enterprise, Inc. for the purchase of training supplies not to exceed $52,641.40 over a 5 year period. This purchase will be made from line item 100 607725482.
