Analysis: Kildeer pays $13.66 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Kildeer Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 93.2 percent of the $643,893 the Kildeer Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $13.66 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Kildeer contributed $600,000 to the fund, which saw a $153,914 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $43,892, or 6.8 percent, in 2016. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
