Analysis: Lake Forest pays $4.83 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lake Forest Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.9 percent of the $2,179,367 the Lake Forest Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.83 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lake Forest contributed $1,806,270 to the fund, which saw a $131,009 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $373,216, or 17.1 percent, in 2016.
