Analysis: Libertyville pays $6.16 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Libertyville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 86 percent of the $2,680,332 the Libertyville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.16 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Libertyville contributed $2,306,006 to the fund, which saw a $909,862 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $374,176, or 14 percent, in 2016. Another $150 came from other unspecified sources.
