Analysis: Lindenhurst pays $2.37 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lindenhurst Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 70.4 percent of the $417,134 the Lindenhurst Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.37 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lindenhurst contributed $293,600 to the fund, which saw a $7,072 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $123,535, or 29.6 percent, in 2016.
