Analysis: Round Lake pays $2.34 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Round Lake Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 70.1 percent of the $639,572 the Round Lake Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.34 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Round Lake contributed $448,626 to the fund, which saw a $37,515 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $190,946, or 29.9 percent, in 2016.
