Analysis: Wauconda pays $2.05 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wauconda Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 67.3 percent of the $1,076,943 the Wauconda Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.05 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wauconda contributed $724,641 to the fund, which saw a $180,975 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $352,303, or 32.7 percent, in 2016.
