Report: Oak Grove spent $8,285 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Oak Grove School District 68 is up 13 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Peoria County school district spent $7,322 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,285 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 369 to 299.

Oak Grove's spending in 2016-17 was 36 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
