VILLAGE OF MUNDELEIN: Bluegrass Musicians Anderlik, Otto and Church to Entertain at Mundelein’s Concerts in the Park Series
Village of Mundelein issued the following announcement on July 5.
The Village of Mundelein in partnership with Mundelein Park and Recreation District are pleased to present the 2018 Concerts in the Park series. This week, Concerts in the Park welcomes three of the top bluegrass musicians in the Chicago area, Rob Anderlik, Pat Otto, and Mike Church, who make up the musical group “Anderlik, Otto and Church.”
The band members first met at a late night jam session and felt a deep musical connection from the moment they played together. Even better, they discovered they shared a wide range of musical interests, ranging from Southern and classic rock, blues, swing, jazz standards, cinematic instrumentals, folk music and of course, bluegrass. They formed a trio in 2015 and quickly built a reputation as one of the most versatile acoustic bands in the Midwest. The trio plays together with great finesse and is adept at switching gears to suit a variety of occasions including festivals, brew pubs, weddings, private and corporate events, nightclubs and the like. Mundelein is thrilled to welcome the group to its Concerts in the Park series.
The concert takes place on Sunday, July 8 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Kracklauer Park. All concerts are FREE so invite your friends and neighbors to the concert, bring some snacks and drinks and have an enjoyable evening in the park. Food also will be available for purchase.
Concert in the Park organizers work behind the scenes to book bands and musical groups that will appeal to a wide range of musical tastes. Last year, attendance exceeded expectations and feedback from concert goers was overwhelmingly positive. For more information please call 847-949-3200.
