Barrett Davie has been keeping his supporters up to date with frequent social media posts while campaigning against incumbent Sen. Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield) for the 29th Senate District seat.
“Prospect Heights came together amidst a horrible condo fire that destroyed 96 homes yesterday,” Davie, a Republican from Lake Forest, said in a July 19 Facebook post. “While touring the response last night with Mayor Nick Helmer, we met many heroes, including minister Francisco Ruiz, who ministers to many of the families who lost everything.”
Davie also showed his support for students on July 25 while seeking more campaign volunteers, even enticing young learners with some concert tickets.

“Help the campaign stuff envelopes for a special project and learn more about the opportunities on our campaign to lock in your chance to get the elusive Lollapalooza Saturday pass,” Davie said on Facebook.
The event, to be held at one of his “campaign's biggest supporters,” will offer snacks and beverages, Davie said on Facebook.
“Call or text Quinton at (805) 624-2514 to RSVP and receive the address and additional details," he added.
