Village of Deer Park issued the following announcement on July 30.
The Village of Lake Zurich notified us that construction of sidewalk improvements at various locations throughout Lake Zurich for the Safe Routes to School Program are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, weather permitting.
The work consists generally of concrete curb, sidewalk removal and replacement and pavement patching and the installation of a flashing beacon at the school crossing on Cuba Road.
While the operations will likely create brief delays in traveling streets near the project limits, they do not anticipate any long-term closure of the streets. Access to all homes and schools will be maintained, but there will inevitably be delays from time to time.
In accordance with village ordinance, construction hours are from 7am-7pm Monday thru Friday and 8am-5pm on Saturday. They anticipate all work will be completed by the middle of August, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting. Please travel carefully through the construction zone.
