City of Highwood issued the following announcement on Aug. 3.
OSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide homework assistance and supplemental academic support to 1st through 5th grade students.
- Assist in educational/fun activities for Homework Club participants
- Maintain supervision of children during all Homework Club sessions.
- Other duties as assigned
- Fluency in written and oral English and Spanish preferred
- Interest in and knowledge of school subjects for grades 1-5, especially Math
- Education background preferred - Outgoing personality
- Patience in teaching - Creativity in making learning fun
