CITY OF HIGHWOOD: Repaving of Euclid Avenue and Euclid Court - Notice

I 40 parks riordan

City of Highwood issued the following announcement on Aug. 24.

PROJECT: City of Highwood, through its contractor Chicagoland Paving, will be repaving Euclid Avenue and Euclid Court. The project also includes the removal and replacement of all concrete curbs and several driveway aprons. Curb removal will start on August 29. The contractor will work to provide temporary access, but please move your vehicle(s) to the street prior to the 29th to reduce delays and inconvenience.

When the new curb is poured in front of your driveway you will be unable to access your drive until it cures (2-3 days). The streets will also be inaccessible at various times and the project will generate construction traffic and the associated dust and debris.

TIMELINE: the work will begin on Wednesday August 29th. The work will take approximately 20 days (severe weather may impact the schedule).

OVER NIGHT PARKING AND PRECAUTIONS: the City will permit overnight parking on Washington, Euclid Avenue, Euclid Court, Ashland, and Green Bay Roads during the project. Please take care when accessing the neighborhood. Please monitor pets and children taking care to avoid the construction vehicles.

We appreciate your patience and understanding for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call City Hall at (847) 432-1924.
