Fremont School District 79 issued the following announcement on Aug. 30.
A Message from the Fremont School District 79 Superintendent of Schools
On Sunday evening (Aug. 26), we sent an email to our families and staff regarding a concerning social media post being investigated by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Soon thereafter, we learned that some families did not receive the email. We have worked diligently to remedy this communication issue and have finalized a communication plan moving forward.
The safety and security of our students, staff, and schools is, and always will be, our top priority. We know that our families and staff count on the District to provide timely updates on urgent matters, and we take that responsibility very seriously.
Moving forward, when the District has an urgent message to disseminate to our families and staff, we will do so through the following methods:
Email;
Automated Telephone Call;
Text Message;
Social Media (Facebook and Twitter); and
Distict website
To update parent email and telephone contact information, please complete this form.
As always, we thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to work together for the best possible educational opportunities for our students.
Dr. Bill Robertson
Superintendent of Schools
