GRAYSLAKE PARK DISTRICT: Provide Feedback on Sunrise Park Playground Designs

Mesa

Grayslake Park District recently issued the following announcement.

The Grayslake Community Park District is encouraging residents to provide feedback on designs to replace the playground at Sunrise Park (175 Drury Lane).

Two design concepts are being considered for the Sunrise Park playground and we want to know what you think! Share your feedback through an online survey from Tuesday, Sept. 11 through Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018.

“The current trend in playground design is to encourage physical fitness and creative play,” said Grayslake Park District Executive Director Kristin Splitt. “Both playground design concepts contain the latest elements that promote constant movement, provide opportunities for imaginative play, and address large motor skills like balancing, brachiating, and climbing. Whichever design the community prefers will be a great addition to the Sunrise Park.”

Please note:

– Swings will be included at the playground (not pictured in the design concepts)

– Colors can be changed on either design

– Playground features cannot be modified

The Grayslake Park District tries to replace at least one playground per year, depending on available funds. Sunrise Park is next on the playground replacement schedule the district uses as a guide to prioritize replacement of the 23 playgrounds in its park inventory. The new playground equipment is expected to be installed in spring 2019.

Tell us what you think! Please share your feedback in an online survey by Tuesday, Sept. 25.
