City of Lake Forest recently issued the following announcement.
Recently, City employees in all operating departments participated in the selection of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for the City. After a thorough technology assessment and review process, BS & A was selected as the new ERP vendor, and the first modules of the program went live on October 1 with great success. Changes will be implemented through January 2019. While most of the changes will be transparent, you will notice enhancements to the payment and scheduling processes.
So far, the City's internal financial applications have been implemented, and the modules to come include utility billing, licensing and more. This new ERP system offers the opportunity to streamline the building permit application process, simplify the fee structure associated with development activity and improve tracking of plans under review.
The City will keep residents continually informed via the website, on utility bills and in the Dialogue newsletter.
