VILLAGE OF GRAYSLAKE: Employment Opportunity: School Crossing Guard

Village of Grayslake issued the following announcement on Nov. 15.

The Village of Grayslake is seeking applicants for a school crossing guard with the Village’s police department to work approximately 5-10 hours per week.

This is a civilian position that is responsible for the safe movement of school children at assigned intersections and other crossings in the vicinity of District 46 schools, specifically Grayslake Middle School and Frederick School.

The position pays $20 per hour and is a non-benefit position. The position works on school days for approximately one (1) hour in mornings from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and one (1) hour in afternoons from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Graduation from high school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required. Successful applicant will be required to submit to a criminal background check.
