Deerfield Park District issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.
The Deerfield Park Foundation is pleased to offer two (2) $1,000 scholarships to an accredited, post-secondary institution in the U.S. for the school year beginning with fall, 2019.
The scholarship is named to honor the Deerfield Park District’s Executive Director Linda Gryziecki who retired in 2011 after 38 years of service.
One Scholarship is for:
A.) current or recent High School Graduate who is a current or recent Deerfield Park District Employee or Volunteer; and/or
B.) current or recent High School Graduates who are Deerfield Park District residents.
The other Scholarship is the same, except it is for a student currently in college/university/post-secondary institution year 1, 2 or 3.
These Scholarships are for a period of one year and are not renewable.
The scholarship may be applied toward any undergraduate year (Freshman through Senior).
